Children, Kindergarten-5th or 6th graders gather every Sunday from 9:35-10:35 a.m. The group starts out in the Music Room (Rm. 109 on the 1st floor of the Educational Building), but moves to other rooms depending on their activity for the day.
Storytellers share a message for children during 10:45 a.m. worship each Sunday.
“Children’s Church” for preschool through 4th grade meets during our 10:45 a.m. worship following the Children’s StoryTime. They return to their families after the sermon.
Babies through age 5 years and their caregivers are invited to Kids’ Korner activities every Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Music Room 109 on the first floor of the Education Building. Music, movement activities, and stories are a part of each week’s program.
Music is also a Faith Formation activity for children who wish to participate. Rehearsals are held each Wednesday evening from 6-6:45 p.m. for elementary through high school students. All meetings are held in the Music Room on the first floor of the Education Building.
Children learn about faith, fellowship and God in KAMO. Parents, grandparents and other family members assist by planning and attending activities. Past fun includes winter swim parties at the YMCA, bowling, Easter egg hunts, gem mining, Music Camp, Vacation Bible School, outdoor play, Trunk-or-Treat, Christmas shoeboxes for impoverished children in Virginia, and a Christmas program.
