This Week with Mt. Olive
March 17, Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Patrick proclaimed the Gospel of Christ to the people of Ireland. He was born in Roman Brittain but when he was 14, taken prisoner by Irish pirates and sold as a slave. At age 20 he escaped back to Brittain, only to have God send him back to Ireland to proclaim the Gospel for the next 40 years. St. Patrick’s Poem of Faith:
“Christ be within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort and restore me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ inquired, Christ in danger, Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.”
