Homecoming Preacher – the Rev. Dr. Eric Childers, Mt. Olive intern 2002-4.
Pastor Childers serves St. John’s Lutheran Church, Cherryville.
He is married to Kristi and they have two children, Jack and Kate.
Worship Artist – Stephanie Burke of Christ Lutheran Church, Charlotte.
Stephanie serves as Artist-In-Residence and Liturgical Drama Director at Christ Lutheran
in Charlotte. She has served with the NC Synod and the Women of the ELCA and worked to
create masterpieces in art for worship with multiple musicians and churches.
Covered Dish / Potluck Luncheon following worship.
Each one of you and our guests who are family members, former Mt. Olive members, and other friends from the community.
Make a special one-time $130 contribution (in addition to your usual good and faithful offerings) in celebration of Mt. Olive’s ministries for 130 years, as a special challenge from Dot Swing who had the idea and gave the first $130 contribution last week. Dot is the widow of Pastor Swing who served Mt. Olive in the 1950’s. She lives in Salisbury and plans to attend Homecoming Sunday.
