The annual Micah’s Cupboard dinner/giveaway night is being held on Thursday, November 15 this year. Volunteers are needed to bring food and to help at the event: clean up, set up, serving, and assisting with clothing/school supply giveaways. This Thrivent Action Team event serves our local schoolchildren and their families. Please invite any families that could benefit from this event. Call Adeliah Arndt or Susan Garren with questions.
Mt. Olive’s annual Trunk or Treat community event will be held on Halloween night, Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m. outside on the lower parking lot next to Publix. A free hot dog supper is served and the very popular train will return for free rides around the track behind the church. Church members will give out candy to trick or treaters who visit their cars in the parking lot. Many cars are decorated for the event and it is a very safe and fun evening for everyone! Call the church at 828-324-6198 for information.
