    Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!  There’s a buzz in the air.  “The holidays” are beginning.  And they begin with a time for us as a country to give thanks.  I love Thanksgiving because it is an opportunity for everyone, across all kinds of religious, cultural and political lines to simply give thanks.

There will be a community wide Thanksgiving service at Corinth Church on Thursday morning at 10am.

Mt. Olive will host a Thanksgiving Eve (Wednesday) worship at 7pm.

On Sunday, Nov. 22, Micah’s Cupboard packed food boxes to be given to 101 families this week through deliveries to local schools! Check it out on Mt. Olive’s Facebook page.

Thanksgiving weekend then marks the first weekend in the season of Advent, the beginning of a new church year!  Of all of the things going on at this time of the year in preparation for Christmas, being in worship during the upcoming 4 weekends in Advent, is one of the best ways to stay centered and focused on the true meaning of this wonderful season.  The church will take on some new colors and decorations.

May this week be filled with Thanksgiving for all of God’s blessings, and safe travels for all travelers.
