Who are the people of Mt. Olive?

  • We are a church of the North Carolina Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) where all are welcome.

  • We are a congregation of faithful servants of God who try to live out Jesus’ great commission to “make disciples” through our life together and our ministry programs.

  • We were established in 1885 and consider ourselves a multi-generational congregation.

  • We sponsor and support many church and community ministries through our time, talents, and dollars; including our own Micah’s Cupboard, a food ministry for local school children and their families.

  • Our central activity together is our worship and praise of God at our regular weekly worship and during any other times when we gather in small groups for fellowship and the work of God’s kingdom.

  • We invite you to join us!
